Division on Dynamical Astronomy

Student Stipend Program


Students are invited to participate in the

36th Meeting of the DDA
Santa Barbara, California
April 10-14, 2005

The Division on Dynamical Astronomy of the American Astronomical Society will provide up to two stipends of $400 each on a competitive basis to students who wish to attend the 2005 DDA meeting in Santa Barbara. Meeting registration and abstract fees are waived, too. Click here for the formal rules.

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in an academic program at any college or university and doing research in the area of dynamical astronomy. This includes, but is not limited to:

Students should apply by sending an abstract of a paper for presentation, along with a letter of recommendation from an adviser, to:

Electronic submissions are preferred.

The deadline for submissions is January 15, and the winners will be notified by February 19th.

Please limit electronic submissions to ASCII text. The stipends will be awarded at the meeting. Recipients are required to participate in the meeting, and follow the rules for registration and abstract submittal; however, their abstract, registration and banquet fees will be waived. Recipients must arrange their own travel, lodging, etc.
