Division on Dynamical Astronomy

Student Stipend Program


Students are invited to participate in the

31st Meeting of the DDA
Yosemite National Park, California
April 9-12, 2000

The Division on Dynamical Astronomy of the American Astronomical Society will provide up to two stipends of $400 each on a competitive basis to students who wish to attend the 2000 DDA meeting in Yosemite National Park.

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in an academic program at any college or university and doing research in the area of dynamical astronomy. This includes, but is not limited to:

Students should apply by sending a 2-3 page description summarizing the topic they wish to present at the meeting along with a short curriculum vitae and one letter of recommendation from an advisor or research collaborator to:

Electronic submissions are preferred, but regular mail is acceptable. Submissions must be either postmarked or e-mailed by February 1, 2000. Please limit electronic submissions to ASCII text. The recipients will be notified by March 1. The stipends will be awarded at the meeting. Recipients are required to participate in the meeting, and follow the rules for registration and abstract submittal; however, their abstract, registration and banquet fees will be waived. Recipients must arrange their own travel, lodging, etc.
